Rydges Hotel Canberra Reception, Bar and Restaurant
- The refurbishment of the old Rydges Lakeside hotel in Canberra features some bespoke elements designed by David Caon Studio. A project involving various parties, our focus was on the lobby & arrival area, including the restaurant and bar.The original hotel featured extensive use of pebblecrete, a building material less common in modern times. We decided to use pebblecrete from some of the interior elements as well, and as such it features in the bar and a bespoke fireplace design.Bespoke designs for credenzas, wine fridges, side tables and stools were also developed as well.
