- SAGATIBA BLACK ROOM
A Limited Edition Cocktail Set, Milan 2005
In Association with Apostolos Porsanidis Sagatiba, a world-wide alcohol brand out of Brazil, requested a design for a bespoke cocktail set to exhibited in Milan during the Salone Di Mobili 2005. The range design is soft and sensuous taking the curves of Brazil's nightlife and applying them across a range of products. Rather than being a purely aesthetic folly, the nipple which appears on the product serves a function. On the glass, the nipple is in the bottom of the glass and the muddler works in reverse. In this case, the cocktail ingredients are trapped and crushed between the glass protrusion and the recess in the base of the muddler.
The cocktail was exhibited in a stand alone exhibition called Sagatiba Black Room before taking a place in the window of Milan's famous Bar Basso.
The Sagatiba Glasses were produced in limited editions of 100 of each size.
