  • One of the leading emerging designers in Australia, David began his career in Milan in 2000. After a brief stint at Mondadori publishing house, David was given an opportunity to work with British designer George Sowden of the renowned Memphis design movement of 1980’s.

During his time with Sowden in Milan he also collaborated with designer Jerszy Seymour, whom he assisted with several exhibitions both in Milan and Paris.

David moved to Paris in mid 2003 to work in the studio of Marc Newson working with brands such as Qantas, Dom Perignon, Nike and Samsonite.

In mid 2007 he returned to Australia where he took a position as Design Leader for international architecture and interior design firm, Woods Bagot.

After two years with Woods Bagot, David has now established David Caon Studio dedicated to Industrial, Furniture and Product design while continuing a working relationship with Marc Newson Limited.
